Multi-use helmets for kids

Hey ladies... I'm new- but I've already been enjoying reading the info on this site!!

Wonder if anyone has an opinion on helmets that are supposed to be multi-use (ex: ski, skate, bike) for kids? Most of them look like the skateboard style. Does anyone use these with your kids and/or would you trust them on the slopes?

Thanks!

I'm not sure I've seen a helmet like you are posting about. But a bike helmet would not be good as a ski helmet. It would not have ear pieces for warmth for starts.

My son, age 11, uses his skiing helmet for mountain boarding and biking. He takes the earpads off in warm weather. Like Jilly said though I would not go in the other direction, (using a biking helmet for other sports), they don't provide enough coverage.
