Mt. Battie Camden Hills State Park

So Saturday was just an awesome day on the coast of Maine, I packed up the skis and skinned up the to the top of Mt. Battie, it was a nice skin up the auto road. I think it's about 1.2 miles and gains 800'. Not very challenging but very nice. The great thing was there was enough snow on the road to ski down.

Good stuff! I love Camden, but have only been there in summer & fall. I've camped at Camden Hills State Park many a time.

Gorgeous pics. I went to camp on Deer Isle from 1970 - 1973 and loved every minute of it. We used to go to Camden for "trip days." I also spent Christmas in 2001 in Camden at the Norumbega Castle by the sea, boy was it romantic.

Great pictures. Nice to see it in winter. Camped at Camden Hills a couple summers ago. Hope to get there this summer. Maine is one of my favorite states; it's really a beautiful part of this country.

OOOH, I never thought of doing that. Wasn't this Saturday also amazing in Maine? I got to 7:00 a.m. training at Sunday River, and watched the sun rise as I went up the 6-pack with about 40 other instructors.
