Mr. SD on NPR's "The Story" - 10/13/08

Does anyone here listen to "The Story" on National Public Radio? It's an hour long program that basically interviews one person for their particular story. It's usually really good. I think it's broadcast in about 100 NPR markets across the country, so some of you are sure to get it.

Anyway, Mr. Ski Diva (aka Jon Clinch) was recently interviewed, and it may be airing on Monday (I'll know for sure later today; if it doesn't air on Monday, it should be some other day next week). The show is on different times on different NPR stations, but you could always download the podcast on www.thestory.org. Check your local NPR station's website to see if and when it airs in your area.

And check back here later! I should know if it'll be on Monday or not.

^^^ Just listened via VPR streaming. Very, very nice! Cool that he mentioned you (re: Twain propensity) right out of the gate. Interesting and informative program - he has a terrific radio voice!

It was really good. Mr. SD is an excellent speaker -- very articulate + great voice.

Funny related story: my parents were visiting my brother & I yesterday, and we stopped by Random House (where my brother works) to show them around. There are a bunch of areas where they have books lying around that you can just take for whatever reason -- they're extras, they're early proof copies, etc. We were picking through some shelves and I found a copy of Finn in there, so both of my parents will be reading it shortly. I was trying to convince my Mom to use it for her bookclub -- "No listen, I know that guy! It's a great book AND HE SKIS!!" ;)
