Moving on to boots....

Now that I decided to go with the Attraxion IIIs, can anyone give me a good suggestion for a boot to go with it? I will otherwise continue to use my 12 (or so) year old Solomans. I think they are Evolution 5s or something???

I am satisfied in my old salomons. If they fit and are in working order, they should be fine.

As is our mantra around here - What ever boot fit you and only you. We can't recommend boots as they need to fit your foot. Haylmom you haven't said were you are from so we can't help you find a good boot fitter close to you. You'll find a thread in the DOD section were you can give us that info.

Anyone have any opinions/heard anythign about Rossignol Xena 12s or Electra 14s? I admit, I'm totally going for color matching here....

Thanks

I'm looking at the Xena 12's for myself. They will fit alot different than your Salomon's. Rossi is made from the Lange family so they fit snugger. If you have narrow feet, they fit good. The Electra is the next model series up from the Xena. I can't find either boot locally, so I'm going to see the boot fitter at Tremblant probably.

The local shop has the lower numbers, just not the 12. He doesn't bring in the high end ladies boots as there are not enough of us in the area. Intermediate - all kinds of sizes etc. I did ask the rep to try and find me a pair. I had my foot in the Xena 8 and it fit just like my Rossi Saphir STS when is was new 4 years ago. I find the Salomon too loose. I think its volume ie height of toe box on me. I just seem to swim in them. Lange and Rossi are better. Even the Atomic's feel too big in my size.

Jilly you'll have to let me know what you decide to go with, I'm interested to see what they're like. I also may decide just to stick with my old boots for now until I see how I am skiing and whatnot, kinda get a feel for what I need...?

Although....I just had my skiis dropped off last night with the bindings put on and they're all waxed and ready to go for my trip next week and i am sooooooooooooooo excited! They look so sharp!
