Mount Snow 11-24-19

We got unlucky today at Mount Snow, and the snow we hoped for was nowhere to be found. We got fog and rain instead. The snow was soft and the skiing was fine except for terrible visibility, until the bluebird express shut down due to icing at 11am. It didn’t reopen. I don’t know why they didn’t at least try to open the canyon lift today. It would’ve been great to be able to ski the lower half of the mountain beneath the fog. Last year they typically opened the canyon lift under these conditions. I don’t know why they didn’t today. Is it Vail being stingy and not wanting to run the canyon lift? Are they diverting all of their resources to the Carinthia terrain park and skimping out on main face lifts?? I don’t know but I am kind of annoyed. The only lift they kept running all day was the bunny hill and the Carinthia terrain park lift.
