Thanks to those who helped enable me in my quiver growth! My Missconducts arrived today from Sierra Ski to join my Tierras. I'm planning to bring them an the Z10 bindings to get mounted tonight. So excited to try them out. In photos the bases always were hot pink with white, but mine are white with hot pink :noidea:. Weird, but I don't care.

On that note, the Z10s are kinda ugly (I know, it's skiing, not a fashion show), and the army green does not look so great with the bluish green on the K2s but I couldn't beat the price that Level Nine had for them. I was thinking stickers might make them look less bad...any suggestions?

And an actual question: I haven't done really any park stuff, so I was wondering if it would make sense when I have the bindings mounted to have them set with a beginner release rating? I don't want them just flying off, but I think it might be safer that way while I'm getting used to it...

Excuse the dirty cubicle. I'm going to try to lug these the bindings, and my boots on the subway tonight to a ski shop, wish me luck!

Well, picked up my Missconducts from the shop today, and it wasn't until after I'd already skied on them that I realized they mounted the bindings in TWO DIFFERENT PLACES :mad2:. Needless to say I'll be going back to the shop tomorrow and will be getting all my money back and the mounting fixed.

Bindings aside, they're super fun skis!

Aww that stinks! How frustrating, by different do you mean like 2cm or 10 or backwards or what? It makes me realize how lucky I am to have a great shop a few minutes away from me after hearing how frequently binding mounts get messed up on several message boards.

Hope they straighten it out promptly for you and have fun out there!

Well, they've been fixed. Obviously I'm not pleased that my brand new skis now have extra holes (even if they're filled) in them. But I've of course been refunded for the mounting fee and they gave me a coupon for 5 free standard tunes, which is worth $175 there. They claimed it's the first time that this has happened this season, and hopefully that's true. I guess this is what I get for going to a chain ski shop for their 48hr turn around and later business hours, but it's frustrating when I can only get stuff done on weekends due to my work schedule.
