DH and I were skiing down Arrow at Okemo late morning and stopped at one of the flats. I noticed a boarder in front of me and someone videoing him. I didn't pay that much attention, I thought it was probably a friend videoing a friend. Then I heard a familiar voice. I skied around to his side so I could see his face - EARL from The Mountain Report!
I don't know if any of you watch The Mountain Report, but we've watched for years. https://themountainreport.tv/
I let him finish talking then went "OMG EARL!" and jumped up and down. We introduced ourselves and he seemed pleasantly surprised to have been recognized. We talked about the ski show and the golf show, then John the videographer asked us if we wanted to be on TV!
So, our line was " You're watching the Mountain Report from Okemo!"
They said it would air in two weeks, but I'm sure even my mother wouldn't recognize me all bundled up in helmet with goggles, face mask and neck warmer (it was cold on the mountain today), but that's OK.
It really was a super cool experience.
And to think I woke up stiff and sore and almost didn't ski today....
