This weekend is going to be great at Massanutten considering it’s the second weekend of March. Going to be open next weekend too, March 16-18. Paradice, DJ, and Upper/Lower Showtime will be open. After 10:00 or so, sticking to Lift 6 on the weekends will be an easy way to stay away from the beginners and aspiring intermediates on Southern Comfort and Lower Showtime. Another full night of snowmaking Friday night, and Saturday night, with the possibility of natural snow on Sunday! Monday, 3/12, is a bonus day for locals.

We’ll be open daily through Monday, March 12, close March 13-15 and reopen Friday, March 16 - Sunday, March 18. It's supposed to snow at Massanutten tomorrow! Forecast is 1-3 inches. Closing Day scheduled for March 18.

Massanutten Snow Conditions Report for 3/11/2018

Heroes on the Hill - We support the men and women of the armed services today with FREE lift tickets for them and their family members. The Ski Slopes are open daily (9 am - 5 pm with no night sessions available) through Monday, March 12.

The Ski Slopes will be closed Tuesday, March 13 - Thursday, March 15 and will reopen Friday, March 16 - Sunday, March 18. As always, check our snow conditions page for the most up to date information regarding snow conditions and operating hours. It's looking like tomorrow could be a SNOW DAY!

Wow! As of lunch time there was 4 inches of snow at the summit. Not often that the Snow Conditions Report is updated midday. Even so, Massanutten will be closed Tue-Thu before re-opening on Friday for some good spring skiing. Presumably March 18 will be Closing Day.

Surprise! March 18 is NOT expected to be closing day at Massanutten. As long as temps stay cool, they are shooting for another weekend, March 23-25. Who would've guessed that was possible?

Massanutten Snow Conditions Report for 3/15/2018

We'll be closed today and will reopen Friday, March 16 - Sunday, March 18. The current plan is to close March 19 - March 22 and reopen for March 23-25. Friday's forecast is just about perfect with plenty of sunshine and high temperatures right around 40. We'll have 5 trails and 4 lifts open for the weekend.

Change in plans at Massanutten. Going to be open Wed-Sun, instead of Fri-Sun as announced earlier. On Tuesday afternoon an email went out to the Mnut list to say that “Snow is currently falling and the NWS is predicting 3”-7” or 4”-8” for tonight and tomorrow with other forecasters calling for the same or more.” 8-hr lift tickets for families (and teachers) who have a snow day tomorrow will be $25, with $15 for gear rental.

Snow Conditions Report for 3/20/18

Winter Storm Toby has brought with it some spring powder days - and we just couldn’t wait until Friday to open! Our Ski Slopes will be open tomorrow, Wednesday, March 21 - Sunday, March 25 from 9 am - 5 pm.

Powder day at Massanutten! Ski patrol found 8 inches at the top this morning and there was 5 inches already at the base. They aren't worrying about grooming for those who make it to the slopes today. Wish I lived closer.

Winter Storm Toby has delivered 5" of new snow at the base and Patrol is reporting 8" up top. We will be open today, Wednesday, March 21 - Sunday, March 25 from 9 am - 5 pm. Winter Storm Warning in effect through 8:00 pm tonight with an additional 2" - 4" expected. The snowcats will mostly be left in the barn this morning so come out and enjoy some late season powder!

Massanutten slopes will be open April 1! After getting 6+ inches this week, the plan is to add Mon, 3/26 and Fri-Sun, 3/30 thru 4/1 to the schedule. Not sure Mnut has ever been open that late.

Snow Conditions Report for 3/23/18

It should be a great day on the slopes with sunny skies and high temperatures around 40. Come out and enjoy some Spring skiing from 9 am - 5 pm!

The Ski Slopes will be open Wednesday, March 21 - Monday, March 26 from 9 am - 5 pm. The Slopes will be closed Tuesday, March 27 - Thursday, March 29. We plan to reopen the Ski Slopes for one last weekend from Friday, March 30 - Sunday, April 1 (weather dependent) 9 am - 5 pm. David of SkiSE went to Massanutten and had a very good time. His report include pics of DJ and Paradice. Looked like mid-season coverage up top. He heard that snowmaking is planned for the next few nights since Mnut plans to be open next weekend as well.
