I did, though not through SAC. Got an outrageous deal on a closeout via eBay for 39 incl shipping. Nice jacket, sheds well. And boy, did we need water repellent garments out here this past summer....

I swear by this jacket in the rain. I don't ski with it 'cause my version (from the 05/06 season I think) doesn't have pit zips. DH has one too, and 2 of our kids do too (the ones that are willing to wear rain jackets).

Weird. I've the 02/03 or 03/04 version, which has pit-zips. Do the newer ones not have them? Great windbreaker.

my understanding is that a handful are produced without for discount outdoor retailers so they can get/give a better deal on them. They did change the name though, not sure if the name change is already out or next season.
