Lotta Luv vs Burnin Luv

jski

Diva in Training
I'm looking into buying my first pair of skis (I've always rented before), and I can't decide between the lotta luvs and burnin luvs. I an advanced skier and I love speed, ski mostly on the west coast and on pretty much any type of run (other than parks). I was leaning towards the burnin luvs but am having a much more difficult time finding them in my size (160) than for the lotta luvs.

what are the advantages/disadvatages for each given my skiing type?

what would you recommend?

thanks

Hi, jski! Always nice to have a new Diva join us. Welcome!

Have you demoed either of these skis? As I'm sure you know, this is always the best option. I realize this isn't likely to happen in the off season, and with the great off season prices, you may end up just buying on faith. Nonetheless, demoing is always the best way to see what fits with the way you ski.

Also, do you have boots yet? These should really come first. Boot fit makes a tremendous difference in ski performance, so if you haven't bought boots, I suggest you start there.

That said, if you're looking for a comparison between Burnin' Luvs and Lotta Luvs, take a look at this thread, where some Divas discussed this a while ago. Hope that helps.

Were you able to demo either of them? The major difference between the two skis, I think, is the width and sidecut. I would think the Lottas are better on powder - it's a fatter ski overall.

Bigger question.........where do you usually ski?

I really think the lotta luv will be a great choice for you.
The skis won't perform the same but either will perform profoundly!
You can't miss with either one
They both have laminate construction with wood core so you won't have to worry about either one losing their properties for some time.

Lotta luv it is!!!
