Question: Looking for new skis

I just tried and then bought the Volkl Kenja. I have been on way short and narrow skis I bought my first season. Three years later I am told it is holding me back. I am also 5'8". Went from 76 waist to 90 and from 153 to 163 in length. I like the length and wider width feels more stable. The first day I tried them I was in love and feeling confident skiing more aggressively than normal. Today I went out in spring conditions and felt like I was getting tossed around a bit in the slush. I also wasn't enjoying the speed I did last weekend for some reason. I hope tomorrow I can feel like leaning forward and flying down the hill! Going out early and that might help. I actually enjoy the crunchy corduroy better than the the afternoon slush. Good luck with your decision!
