Looking for a Boot Fitter in Albany, NY - any recommendations???

I was hoping someone could provide some recommendations for a good boot fitter in the Albany, NY area.
I've seen some recommendations for shops in Killington, VT or Lake Placid, NY but I was hoping to find something a little closer to home.
Thanks as always.

Don't know about Albany, but consider Gary @ Startingate, just down the highway from Stratton.

Honestly having lived in the Albany area for roughly 5 years (admittedly before I started skiing) I would doubt there are many good bootfitters to be found. I'd head up towards gore/lake george or placid to the north, or over to Vermont. You want a really good fit and that comes with getting fit by someone with lots of experience and demanding customers - generally you'll find these people near ski areas. Also when there is more competition (and more knowledgable customers) if you're not decent you aren't gonna stay in bussiness/employed. So I can understand not wanting to travel, but it will be worth you while.

Speaking personally I live in the Boston area and there are plenty of ski shops around, but both DH and I have headed up to NH for quality bootfitting - easily 2-3 hours of driving, but well worth it.

I think you're better off getting boots close to where you normally ski. That way you can get any adjustments taken care of right away, go out and give them a try, and bring them back if something else needs to be done.

If you ski at Killington, there are two really good shops: Northern Ski Works and Basin Ski Shop are especially known for their boot fitting.

Here are two close to Albany that I have had experience with:
I would not sit with anyone but the two mentioned below, both are professional bootfitters, Garrick mentioned something to me about podiatry but I was too busy drooling to listen.

Irwin at Hunter Mountain. (Catskill, NY) Very knowledgable.

Garrick Dardani (btw is so incredibly gorgeous)
