Well today I finally walked a whole mile. Wow!!! I rested a couple of times. My mind seems to always be active. So I wrote a couple of Limericks.

There once was a lady from Maui
Who never had gotten an owie
Then she met her best friend
And that was the end
She stumbled and fell and said wowie.


There once was a lady from Mass
Who wanted to buy a bus pass
But she was too old
And now she's too cold
As she was kicked out on her ass.

Here they are for you viewing pleasure. Or maybe it won't be a pleasure but I would sure enjoy your comments. I may write a skiing limerick tomorrow.

I just wrote a skiing limerick

"There once was a lady from Maine.."

And of course it made me think of Maine Ski Lady.

There once was a skier from Maine
Who tried not to ski in the rain
She skied and she fell
And now she must tell
Her friends that she's really in pain.


There was a young man from Madrid
Who smiled whatever he did
He went out to drink
And his wife made a stink
He should have been watching his kid.


There once was a girl from New Yawk
Who always wanted to talk
She spoke to her friend
Without any end
And never went out for a walk.


There once was a young man from Mars
Who always liked to eat cars
He ate and he ate
And now he must wait
Tomorrow he starts to eat bars.

I have my PT evaluation on Tuesday and will meet with my orthopedic surgeon on August 15.

Of course I won't mention to him that I intend to ski this year. He already knows it and he's not pleased.

I will provide an update on the 16th.

It's raining hard in LA and I hope that predicts a long ski season.

I adore this! I am from Maine and detest skiing in rain. : )
I'm a bit more this though.......

To skiing foul days she'd refrain
Drops of rain she would dodge
And hide in the lodge
Driving her ski buddies insane

Thank you all for your additions to my madness. Though they say that you should not humor the insane. I will see my surgeon on the 15th I absolutely will NOT mention skiing.

I'm afraid that I wrote a few more but won't post them for a while.
