Blizzard revamped and renamed their line a year or two ago. Now have the BP in 78, 88, 98 instead of three separate model names. All the current versions have plenty of fans, as well as Divas who don't find them a great fit. The original Black Pearl evolved into the BP 88.

I was demoing skis in 2015 and 2016 and was told I would not like the Black Pearls so never even considered them. It was a guy in the ski shop who asked what I liked and didn't like in a ski. He had me demo the Sambas and I really liked them and still do. Now with all this love for the Black Pearl......

I bought those skis and hated them. But I'm glad you liked them!

Yeah, I had to learn the expensive way that I couldn't really flex the Kenjas all that well given my size.
I love my Yumis! I'm a featherweight, they have plenty of pop, float, and carve okay, they are helping me become a better skier! Even acquiring a little style!

Ok
Lady Hart Twins (in purple) that I bought when we were offered a killer deal here on TSD some years back. Never heard of them before or since.

Still pretty much my day to day ski even though I have Auras and Kikus.

Ok so I love my Lady Hart Twins at 85mm ish. I used to love my Auras at 95mm ish but I put bindings on them that I don't really like, plus they have felt a *bit* short for a while now. So it gave me an excuse to look for an Aura replacement (!) A couple of years ago I bought the Hart One for a crazy low price. I also had some extra Hammerhead bindings (my favorite) lying around. But I never took the time to do the measurements and really make the decision to do it. I kept taking the Auras out every once in a while thinking I'd fall back in love, to no avail.
This week I finally got them mounted! Got it done by a Telemark specialist for 25 Euros

In any case, I'll try them out today - I hope I love them as much as I used to love the Auras before I put telemark bindings on them...

Note that I don't post pictures so often - I hope this isn't too big...

Yup, love them !!!!

Caveat. I love the Hart Ones in crud and soft snow. Probably powder as well. For the moment I HATE them on super flat or "slickery" surfaces. I can't get them to obey in that case. It's probably user error, and maybe I'll figure it out, but for now they'll be for spring skiing or after a dump.

On the upside, I had my new ski tech base grind my purple Lady Hart twins and sharpen the edges and they are like new! Those I love in almost all conditions and especially on groomers. So all good for now if I choose conditions well!
