Laser Eye Surgery Update

I had my 2 month follow up appointment yesterday, and I read the last line of the eye chart! I have never done that before, even with glasses/contacts. I let out a swear word when I realised I could clearly read the last line, made the doctor laugh.

I am so looking forward to our trip next month, international flight and skiing in cold temps without having to manage contact lenses!

LASIK Surgery

I had that done about 5 years ago (the first big thing I saved for out of Uni) and it was the best $4000 I ever spent!!! I have now forgotten the hassles of contacts, glasses, prescription sunnies, and what it was like to wake in the night and not be able to see the alarm clock.
5 years on and my eyesight is still great

Yay! Congratulations! I'm so jealous!

My eyes are so bad that I wear contacts, with glasses over the top for reading and driving! They can't even correct my eyes with lasik all the way! The only thing that would help me is intraocular contact lenses - a permanent plastic lens they insert into your eye and clip to your iris! I'd have it done, but last I checked it was about $5000, PER EYE!
