Kulkea Announcement 9/15/26

@mustski and I saw this bag at the show in SLC. It's very nice.

Gotta mark my calendar. I put off buying a bag last winter but maybe this will tick all the boxes.
I sincerely hope it does.
This particular bag has a lot of features that our SkiTalk focus group helped get implemented. @mustski saw the bag back in January and was also a part of influencing some of the ideas with it.

VERY excited for this!
Me tooo !!! My new car has a less than desirable heater so I'm reduced to putting hot water into my soft flasks and jamming them in to my boots !! Not sure if Kulkea is available here but I'll be making sure I get my hands on one

Is it really large like the Powder Trekker? I’m looking for a smaller boot bag with a heater for the few times I drive (rather than walk or shuttle) to the slopes.

I think you and others like you will really like this new bag. Reveal is September 15. Will be seen in stores in 2 days!

Based on teasers from last season on Ski Talk I believe it will be smaller. The video SnowHot posted seems to indicate the same. Hoping my local shop that carries other Kulkea products will carry this one as well.

This new bag will

Check a lot of boxes for a lot of us
Be available at several ski shops and various outlets for purchase
Will be in line $$ wise to other Kulkea products

*When talking to the founder of Kulkea he confirmed that some prices are going up this season due to tarriffs and added cost of materials, but they've tried to keep the increased pricing to a minimum.

As someone working in a company that is dealing with the tariff chaos I'm not at all surprised. I feel so bad for all of the small businesses that are trying to balance cost increases with customer frustrations.

Think we're going to do some hiking at the end of the month. BF wants to check out Moment skis and will be staying at Northstar house.... hope to check out the new Kulkea bag......the Powdr Trekker is just way too big for me to maneuver anywhere. Yes I have flown with it, but now use as a storage bag for ski boots, heaters, gloves, hats, helmet, other accessories, spare prescription sunglasses.....

You'll like this new bag.
Kulkea gave me permission for the teaser but not the full reveal until tomorrow. Its very exciting and I love that all of us have had input on the features of this bag.

That's so cool. @mustski kindly loaned me one of her heated bags, but the one she used (not sure of the brand) was a perfect size if you only want it for your boots and not as a storage option. So I'm glad she had some input....

I believe the bag she loaned you was the Transpak version. I don't think they make it anymore. I had one of those early on but the heating burned out and had to be replaced twice. :(

I got the heated Kulkea bag (Thermal Trekker) last year to keep my shells warm for worldcupping my ZipFits. It is BIG. Maybe this one will be more manageable for tight spaces. Fingers crossed.

When I traveled by air (which is rare for me) I took my Thermal Trekker as a carry on once. After that I checked it and took my boots in my Käydä and swapped to my Thermal Trekker at the destination. The Käydä fits in the overhead much better.

Here is the article I wrote about the Käydä 6 years ago.

Here is the announcement and article.
This Thermal Kart is built off of the Kartta platform, is low profile and so very easy to pack.

I'm not sure if the admin here want to add this link to the OP. Use your judgement

Just saw your review @SnowHot . It looks like another winner from Kulkea!!
It really is.
There are some really good parts in this bag that we all influenced, including a place to hook your keys, and pass pocket.
It's not as spacious as the Thermal Trekker, but then it would defeat the purpose of making it low profile.
