Killington World Cup 2024

Tickets are on sale! I just got mine.

For Sunday I also bought parking in what the race website called the K-1 lot, for Sunday. We have to be out of our inn Sunday morning and that seemed easiest. Saturday parking is sold out; I will probably have shuttle questions for you all that have been. I remember some people had long waits.

We always park at skyship and take the bus, it's usually works great for us.

Contemplating going this year. If we go it'll be with grandstand seats on saturday. I love the village and the vendors, it's a fun weekend. We used to ski this weekend at Killington but I prefer to do opening day at Killington in early November, opening day of bromley the day after thanksgiving and then just be a spectator at Killington for the festivities.

It's a lot of fun.

I'll just ask my shuttle question now. We are staying at Mountain Meadows Lodge, near the top in this map.

I park at skyship as I'm coming from londonderry which is south of all that.

Looks like you are staying high up on the access road. on th access road. Assuming you'll get there early so I'd park at snowshed or ramshead with Pickle barrel or wobly as a backup

So that lodge is near the entrance to the Killington access rd. I would just drive up the access road and try to park at Snowshed or Ramshead (these are literally right across the access rd from each other) and those would be the closest options to parking near the race area. After that, the next closest would be the Vale lot and then Wobbly Barn. The Pickle Barrel is the farthest of the parking on the access road. If you park at Ramshead to Snowshed, you could potentially walk up the access road to the race area based on distance--having never been there for race weekend I have no idea if they have any restrictions in place on the access road during that weekend though regarding people walking or parking on it though.

Great info, thanks! We will head to Snowshed/Ramshead and plan to shuttle up and walk down.

Is there a lodge anywhere near the race grandstand? So if we head to the parking lot extra early so we can get a spot and hopefully not wait too long for a shuttle, would be be able to hang out indoors before the race starts?

Also: Anywhere in the general vicinity you guys love for dinner?

Part of my planning is that I really want my friends who are coming, and who have never been to a ski race, to have a great experience. This was actually their idea but still.

I love Garlics, Charity's and the Foundry for restaurants.

We should bring blankets and duct tape to save seats between runs, right? That's considered acceptable? I haven't seen this in Beaver Creek or Whistler but remember people here saying they do it.

I do blankets and bungee cords...The first year I used duct tape, but small bungees work MUCH better.

For food it depends on what you are looking for. We like the Rivershed, Charitys, the Lookout, IPie for pizza, Yama Ramen is very good to (but it is order at the counter and find a stool to sit on- limited seating)

There's usually a grandstand. In fact there's always a grandstand...though I just looked at see that Tremblant just has a "custom designed standing grandstand."

But there's standing room, usually on the side, at nearly every race too.

I just looked at the Killington set up and it isn't ideal--the grandstands are kind of off to the side angled weirdly, at least the one on the left is, so that the VIP tent can have the primo spot, it looks like. But wait--is that a tent? Or a lodge?
