Hi All,
First off, I love the forum--bought my burnin luvs based on many reviews here!!
So, any opinions on the karbon ruby jacket from this year--anyone own one? Also, what is everyone's take on white ski jackets? I am trying to decide btwn white and this cute bright green--I like white better, but I am scared it will be grey after one ride on the lift--any thoughts?
Thanks!!!

I got the Karbon Platinum for Christmas. I love it. I'd go with the green one -I have the apple green jacket (I'm biased as green has always been a favorite color of mine). Mine is very warm, more pockets than I know what to do with, very comfortable. The only thing I'm not thrilled with is the bottom of the sleeves. There is no velcro or snaps to close them and cinch them tight. Even with a gauntlet glove it's tough to cover the sleeve. Not sure if the ruby jacket has the same sleeves. All in all, I'd buy it again.

I would definitely steer clear of the white one, if for no other reasons than safety reasons. It is really hard to see skiers in white in some conditions.

I have a Karbon coat in green. I'm not too sure which style it is. I LOVE the coat. It is very warm. I have never owned a white ski coat but another person that I ski with have bought white and they said they would never do it again. During the spring they got all types of grease spots on the coat that never came out:(

Mine is black, I don't remember the model -- it's also an '06 model, but new this season, picked up on sale last fall. As has been mentioned, lots of pockets, plenty warm except whe the wind is REALLY bad. (I'm inclined to believe nothing is warm enough when the temperature is single digits or lower and the wind is 30mph or more.) I do have closures at the wrists, and I'm with those who recommend against white. It's hard to see against all the snow!

I'm mighty happy with my jacket, even though black was about my second least favorite color,,,

thanks!

You ladies are amazing--I didn't even think about being able to be seen in white out conditions!! Great point to bring up and definitely a reason to steer clear of that color.

I have put the green on hold and I am picking it up this weekend--thanks for all the great advice!!!:ski2:
