K2 First Luv vs ..... ?

I'd like to buy a better pair of skis end of the month ....
The First Luv 163 are really nice to ride but as I can ski much faster as when I bought them I ride them at the limit. I need an upgrade from K2 ....

I was thinking of the Tough Luv or Lotta Luv from K2 .... length 163cm, any comments about them?

.... good in most conditions (specially on icy conditions)
.... good with higher speeds
.... a ride off pist should be possible too.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hmm, I have the Lotta Luvs and they are great for everything BUT icy conditions. I'm assuming that the Tough Luvs would be the same since they are wider underfoot.

I'm a K2 girl. I started on the First Luvs as well, but ended up graduating to the Burnin's Luvs.

I recently tried the Lotta Luvs, and loved them. They were flexible, quick, and forgiving. I was considering them as an alternative to my Burnin' Luvs on soft snow days. I know a lot of women say Volkl's hold the ice better than the K2's so you may want to try them. I found them less maneuverable for my size and ability (at the time anyway).

The Tough Luvs are really wide, they may not give you the speed and stability you want on the hard pack vs. other K2s. I'd suggest also looking at the One Luv's for an all mountain as well. 74 mm waist vs. 78 on the Lotta's and reportedly good and stable at high speeds.

I went to my favorite sports shop. The offered me to order the K2 skis before I wrote this topic. But yesterday they did not wanted to order anything and said to wait till next year or buy one of the skis on stock. I just can't buy a ski that has the usual Atomic/Voelkl/Head stereotype graphics .... I will not pay for a ski my hard earned $$$$ that has a topsheet I do not like!

So I will go and visit some shops tomorrow and see what it is still on stock ....
