Just bought a new Rab down jacket...

...for a mid-layer because I "outgrew" my Patagonia down sweater. It was ridiculously expensive for me.

It fits so well, and the construction is amazing. I like the quality zipper, the stretchy fabric at the wrists, and that I can move my arms in any direction without any binding or restriction at all. I'm a little worried it will be too warm, but my shell is just a rain shell (We ski in the rain sometimes.) so it should work out. Really excited to try it out tomorrow!

I have a Rab puffy midlayer that I love. I bought it a little big because I like to use it as an emergency outer layer for colder weather climbing, so it adds a bit of bulk iunder my ski shell, but its great on cold days to keep me warm.

I found out today that it will likely be the whole kit, as it's so totally warm! I love it! Only using a shell in heavy rain.
