junior boots

I was curious...I have small feet for my height and can often wear kids size shoes. Should I try a junior boot? Why or why not?

Junior boot

SuperMoe, I too have a small foot. Nothing really small as far as street shoes, however I wear a 21.5 boot. Most womens' boots do not size that small, so I had to go with a Junior. For quality and precision I purchased a race boot. Recreational Junior boots do not have the features or better materials unless you go with the upper end race boots. They also have a smaller calf circumference, so it might be troublesome if you're very muscular. The cuff is lower too.
Mine seem to be working for me so far!

Something to try, but use a boot fitter. As badger says, there are some real differences. Junior race would be a good starting point. But check different manufacturers. Some are realizing that there are good women skiers with small feet and making boots to fit.

Don't discount anything while looking for "the right" boot. Who'da guessed I'd be in a junior race boot at 190+ lbs? I just love 'em.

I've got a jr. race boot too. They rock! Find a shop that caters to the race kids. My bootftitter selected them because they were the best fit for my feet. And as an extra bonus, they we're last year's model and only cost $150!!
