Jiminy Peak in MA recently installed North America's first ski area wind turbine, and now they're having a contest to give it a name.

The new one- to three-word name has to be catchy, memorable and creative. Whoever comes up with the winning name will receive a 2007-08 season’s ski/snowboard pass to Jiminy Peak, a pewter model of the wind turbine, and VIP treatment at the wind turbine dedication, tentatively set for “Windsday,” Aug. 15, 2007.

To enter, log onto www.jiminypeak.com and submit your suggested name.

That's VERY cool! Vail doesn't have wind turbines, but the majority of the entire resort and it's slopes was run on wind power beginning this past season! This is part of the "Sustainable Slopes" campaign to go green!!!
