jacket arm length question

hi!
my patagonia primo down arrived today. yay!
the only thing is... the arms are way long.. my hands dont even stick out the tiniest bit. is this a problem? how much do your fingers stick out from under your jacket? when i tighten the wrist velcro thingies it makes the arms really puffy and weird looking. it fits in every other way.

I'm 5'5" and most jackets have sleeves that are too long. If I can velcro around the wrist, I do. If there's no velcro, depending on the type of jacket, I'll fold the wrist up a bit. I make due. Some may go to the lengths of having their jackets altered by a seamstress but that's just more money spent. It doesn't bother me that much, to be honest.

If you are standing with your arms at your sides this may not be a problem, but if the sleeves are this long as you hold them out in front of you it may be pretty uncomfortable. If so I would call Patagonia and see if you can have the jacket altered etc.
My personal opinion is that you paid a great deal for a technical jacket and it should operate to that degree for you without compromise on your part.

Going along with Gloria - how long are the arms still with your arms out in front - like driving the car!. I have a winter coat that is fine with my arms at my side, but as soon as I move the arm to do something active - like turning the wheel of the car, they're too short!! Same might apply to the ole pole plant!

Lol, my DD seems to have this problem every year just after we get through buying passes, equipment, paying team dues and Christmas. :D

Holly - I tried on my coat real quick and my sleeves are pretty long as well. I am incredibly picky about not having any bulk around my arms and I am really comfortable in this jacket, It may be just fine.

haha - when "driving a car" the sleeve comes to my first knuckle on my hand.. i think this is a good sign? especially considering what Gloria said too!
when i get home next week i'll try it on with my mitts and see how it goes.. plus i'm wearing only a tank top as its quite warm here today and i think base layers may hold it up a bit (maybe)
thanks for much for both ofyour advice!
it's so pretty!! but i bet first day i'll get some lift grime on it.:fear:
