It's time to think snow

This afternoon, my hubby and I had lunch with The Ski Diva and Mr. Ski Diva. It was so good to chat with them after all of these summer months.

And, we picked up our season passes today!!!!!! It's time to watch the leaves fall and think of snow.

Snow and skiing are the only things on my mind the last few days. I drive all my friends crazy talking about it. Still another two months to go. Anyone have a good idea what to do before I drive all my friends away until ski season starts???

When does the season start for you in Norway?

November 15th. I hope. Since I get home from work at Nov 12th and have 6 weeks off I hope for a good start with loads of snow early in the season.

And the rest of your suggestions I have been doing all summer. But skiing stuff should be coming into the shops soon, so there is hope. I need new boots.

It's already getting to be shorter days, and I'm glad to have skiing to look forward to, to make it easier to give up summer!

Went to the shops today, and they got the skis yesterday, they just hadn't put them on display yet. It will soon be time to go drooling in the shops again. See the new skis and graphics... Get to touch the skis... Fantasize about demoing the skis...

How was hang gliding season?

It has been a pretty good season for hang gliding and there are hopefully a few more days left. The weather (wind direction) has been unpredictable so we have spent a lot of time on the highway searching for the right conditions. There has actually been more hang waiting than hang gliding!

By contrast, once you buy your lift ticket, you get to ski. The conditions may not always be wonderful, but you get to ski.
