It's a rough life...

Here in Colorado. It's April 6th and I just skied a 6 inch powder day at Vail. With virtually no crowds and absolutely no lines. They reported 4 but we definitely found stashes that were shin deep back in Blue Sky. Sorry, too busy whooping it up to take pictures. :p

Glad you had a good day! Mmmm, quiet, sounds fantastic. Where does everyone GO in April??? :noidea:

Big difference between there and here. Word on the New England skiing street is OUT that Sugarloaf has good snow. It was busy, but typically for Sugarloaf, a very civilized busy (there is a difference....).

The boilerplate from several major snow/rain/freeze cycles is finally softening.

As to finding that ski, there is hope. I found one (not mine--a student's of DH) in July a number of years ago; it was lost in Feb!! Of course, it wasn't a killer hike up to where it had been lost - I imagine this location at Vail is next to impossible to hike to???? What are the logistics of it?

Yeah, we didn't go into Lover's Leap but if we'd been in there I would have looked. Sorry!

Hey Robyn!

It was fun skiing with you on Saturday! Sorry I had to miss today:( ended up taking 2 runs at Copper then coming home.

Heading out in the morning to Iowa to pick up the new puppy.

Hope to ski with you again before the season is over!

It's on the backside of Vail and then down a hill and up a hill....not really hills...but mountains! It's far! I'd go, though! Beautiful hike! We used to camp back there when I was a child! I loved it!

I thought about the hike....luckily once the snow really starts melting, there will be roads that I'll be able to take to the area. Then it will be one big hike into the bowl.

Here's hoping I'll have good news when I call Vail security today!

Katy, it was great to ski with you as well and thank you for pushing me into some stuff I was considering bailing on! I wish you'd been at Vail on Sunday, much better conditions and I felt so much more confident. But you and Tracy would've made it more fun! :D

I'm a great deal shopper! It's an older building but works for me. I've lived in the ghetto before with drug dealers living next door so while this isn't the best it's not bad either. I have a pool, jacuzzi, workout area, steam room, sauna (I really could use one of those today) and tennis courts while have fast access to the interstate. It took me awhile to find this place but I'm very happy now. Not planning on leaving until I make a lot more money and can buy a house or get married. :D
