I'm leaving my life vacation for an "actual" vacation on Thursday morning, bright and early. I'm headed to a remote and (from what I've found) hightly unheard of island off the northern tip of the Yucatan called Isla Holbox (pronounced Holbosh). The island is a fishing village, about 25 miles in length.
Only 18 beach front cabanas
No roads (just golf carts)
No banks/ATMs
Whale shark breeding ground
Bird sanctuary
Was supposed to be a romantic trip for 2 with my boyfriend, but I kicked him to the curb and am now going with 2 friends. I will take lots of pictures and let you know how it goes.
I needed to do SOMEthing warm and sandy near the ocean before the snow starts flying again!!
