Is your ski season over????

I fear mine is. Or just about, anyway.

My home mountain is scheduled to close April 20, but I have to go out of town on the 17th, so the 16th is the latest I can possibly go.

I have skied each day this week. But the snow is getting mushier and mushier (it's nice in the AM, but pretty gloopy in the afternoon). And this weekend it's supposed to rain, which I'm afraid will deal the final blow.

I'd rather go out on a good note than keep pushing on, just for the sake of being out here. Today was #61, so I guess I've done pretty well.

I know a few Divas are heading to A-Basin over Mothers Day Weekend, but I'm afraid that's not for me.

So who's done? And if so, when was it over?

Noooooooooooooooooooo!

It's definitely not over for me. Since I broke my wrist, I've been missing a huge part of my favorite season. I'm even going to miss Solitude closing weekend. (Although you'll still see me drinking beers and BBQing in the parking lot!)

Hopefully I've still got at least five more days before the end of the season. I get my shortie cast next week!

Diva Day at Okemo on 3/31 was my last day. I'm just beginning to get up and around now after my surgery (left the house briefly for the first time today since Saturday) so the thought of skiing is kind of frightening!

:fear:

And what a great season it was! Started early, and went all the way through, with only a minimum of rain and hard pack days for New England.

My crocuses are up so Spring is definately here. This Spring, I have the advantage of feeling better physically than I did all Winter, so I'm counting on that to keep the "ski season is over" blues away. :p

This weekend will be it. Tremblant is going to be open next weekend, but DH says no go. So we're moving our stuff out to the condo, its rented for the summer. Back up next November!! I should have 48 days this season.

Not yet!:ski2:

8-24 inches (yep, up to 2 feet) of snow due in the mountains over the next 36 hours!:snow:

So far plans for me: Copper again tomorrow, Breck or Loveland next Tuesday. Abasin on Wednesday....then we'll have to see after that!:faint:

Yes...unless I can make it to Diva Day at A-Basin in May. I did NOT ski enough this year for a variety of reasons...so I'm bummed.

almost over. Skied Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and again today. A fabulous season, still lots of snow - today a little mushy in the afternoon, but fun anyway. And who would have thought I'd be skiing trees in April? Hopefully we'll be skiing Saturday and Sunday, but now they're predicting thunderstorms on Saturday.:( Possibly, the 19th and 20th, time will tell.

this weekend will be it for me - the mountain is open through Apr 27 but I am (finally) having my visa/immigration interview at the US Consulate in Montreal on April 21. This will mean I can actually live with my husband!

However, since the Consulate holds my passport until they have issued my Greencard, I cannot enter the US ... so no more skiing - I think it's worth the sacrifice!

Of course, it also means that next ski season I won't have to drive 5 hours each way every weekend in order to get my fix!!!

w.ski -
is Stratton still open? May be I can squeeze in one more weekend! :ski2:

Stratton is open through Sunday the 13th, closed during the following week and open again on Sat. & Sun., the 19th and 20th.

My season ended this past Saturday. Our home mountain closed on Sunday, but the snow was mushy on Saturday and around 60 degrees. So, we figured the conditions would be even worse on Sunday and it wasn't worth the drive.

We were hoping to get in a trip this weekend to Southern Vermont or maybe Whiteface, but with the weather, that's out. Bummer!

Snow is still okay here, but my season ended on Sunday. Sadly, I got a tummy bug and came in at lunch time. Don't expect to get back up before the month ends.

My local mountain will definitely be open until April 13th, possibly later. I'm praying for one week later, because the only day I can get away is the 19th.

But still...to be skiing in SoCal in APRIL? With 12"-24" solidly on the ground? That's amazing.

The A-Basin trip sounds like a blast!!

I hope not.

I'm off at work for the whole of April, so I really hope there is some snow left for me in the beginning of May. If not, I had a really good last day.

And there is always summer skiing for me :eyebrows:

Well, I'll ski both days this weekend as most of the big resorts close. I'll probably ski a day or two between then and May 9th when the Divas arrive and then the big finale will be either May 11th or 12th.

Nope. After a biz trip to Boston this week, will spend some time at Solitude and Brighton this weekend. Then back to Boston for another meeting and my bro wants to head up to NH or VT to seek out some stashes of snow. Hmmmm. that should be a trip, I've never skied the NE before, and it's kind of late in the year.

Yes and no.

Will probably do one last day at Boyne on Saturday.

And, trying REALLY, REALLY hard to get to A-Basin for the Diva gathering in May.:help:

Wasn't supposed to be...planned to use my pass one more time at each mountain (Sunapee, Stratton, Okemo) this weekend...weather does not make that look like much of an option. Skied past 2 days at Sunday River and it was incredible...if I have to call these my last days of the season I'll be disappointed, but will have ended with a couple of sweet days of sunshine and snow!!
