Agree that Kulkea bags are well designed and built. When the Kayda first came out, I told David at Snowbound a year (or two?) ago that it was too long for me (5'0"). Was happy to hear then he planned to come out with a smaller version. The smaller Kayda is just a bit shorter, but felt perfect on my back. Since my boots and clothing take up less space then is the case for someone with 25+ ski boots, the smaller capacity would still be plenty of space.Kulkea...Holy wow those bags are built to last. David Abramowitz is the owner and such a great creative guy who commits to well built bags. Not cheap but totally worth it.
I have the Kulkea Micro-Pack and the Heated Bootbag. One reason I like attending ski shows is to check out stuff in person. Needed to make sure I could deal with size of the heated bag. Since Kulkea is local to Boston, they were at the Ski Expo from the early days of the company. I'm glad they continue to have a booth after it morphed into Snowbound Expo.
I only use the heated bag when I drive for a ski trip. It's big and heavy with boots and stuff in it. For now, I can manage. I won't bring it when flying. I saw several at various places out west last season.
