Inspiration to make Dive Bomber noises!

Recently I purchased a Nordica Firefox from Sierra Jim. I'd had several exchanges with him about this particular ski since I'd heard some rumblings about it at the beginning of the year.

Sierra Jim had demoed the ski last year and was extremely stoked about how progressive the Olympia Fire Fox is, in the womans ski market.

The first time I skied on my husband's Atomic Januks, I had the overwhelming urge to sing the Imperial March from Star Wars. Dum, dum, dum, dum-dee-dum, dum-dee-dum....

It felt like two big battleships strapped to my feet. The kind of feeling that my skis were going to plow through anything no matter what my body did. It was a lot of fun, so I had to go get my own battleships.

Last year I tried the Fischer Vision Breeze at the NSIA show at Tremblant. Locals will know the place where everyone seems to gather on Duncan before the last pitch to the Duncan chair. Well is gets "glossed over" because of people stopping and starting. Well I decided to arc a turn on that spot as there was no one waiting. On myZ5's I would be holding by breath that the ski edge would hold. Not that Breeze. I couldn't believe that it held and arc'd beautifully. I just yelled - Yeah man!! Poor Russ thought I'd hit something, but I was so excited that this ski was a Tremblant, Eastern NA ski!! I was suppose to take it back, I didn't for a long time!!

When I demoed a pair of Elan Speed Magics I felt like throwing my arms up in the air, poles and all, and whooping like I was on a roller coaster. I'd never skied faster and with such ease.

I bought a pair of Elan Speed Magics on an impulse but haven't had a chance to ski them yet. After getting the Olympia FireFox (which I love) I figured on selling the Speed Magics because they are an overlap with the FireFox, but maybe I need to reconsider.

OK....my Volkl Auras bring to mind The Ride of the Valkyries.

My Fischer Progressor 8+'s......Formula One racecar noises....you know, that high racy whine.

Head Monsters......a Ducati motorcycle with carbon pipes that make the twin engine really resonate. (I used to ride a Ducati...and if my Heads were a motorcycle they'd be a Ducati!)

Moment Pikas Powder skis = Vroom, vroom. (Ski instructor made this noise when demonstrating powder turns and I was unaware I was copying him until I stopped and the ski class told me to start up again.)
