Ima sucker for ski clothes

I snagged these pants off Backcountry Outlet last night. Looked like fun. I'm tired of plain old black ski pants and may retire mine. I love my camo DNA pants, and thought a second pair of "fun" pants would liven things up next year.

Trouble is, I may need a new jacket! What color do I wear with these things?????

I would wear black, blue, grey or maybe white with those pants. But, I tend to be fairly conservative so I may not be the best judge.

There is an olive-green version. My camo pants and jacket are that color, so I wanted something different. I do have an orangish Patagonia shell; maybe they'll work with those. Hard to tell from just a picture.

Nice pants! I'd go for a jacket that's black, gray, eggplant purple or deep green. Something that lets the pants pop.

HA. Do it. I've got a briiiight green Arcteryx and a red HH that I wear with the orange pants as well. I feel like a fruit stand when I wear the green, it's more fun that way.

Sweet pants! What fun! What is it about those fun patterned pants?

And I really am wanting a white jacket, though black would look better, but it's just that I have a black "good" street jacket and black shell for warmer weather, and do not want to purchase ANOTHER black jacket. I COULD wear a black down vest and look very old school/new school.

Oh there's no "trouble"...What a good excuse to go shopping and buy a new jacket!! Might I add, I absolutely love those pants! Do they come in any shades of pink???? If I were wearing those pants, I would either go for a solid black jacket or something in the blue tones.

Wow, van, those are nice! Guess I'll throw in a vote for a dark-ish jacket. Lots of choices as to color, but the darker shade of whatever will produce the same effect of bringing out the pants' pattern as ag83's do. Both very cool. Ski clothes are too much fun....

Hey, thanks, MSL! I found a really cool black Oakley jacket that's waterproof, has a big hood, and a zip-out liner and lots of pockets. And it's rather plain, not overstyled. I may go for it. Black will go with anything, so if I find another pair of funky pants on sale NEXT year.....

I think I'm a winter clothes ho.

They only come in blue and a sagey-olive color. Pink WOULD be fun.

vanhoskier, I am sooo excited about this post because I saw a picture of these pants on someone in a ski magazine and really wanted them but it didnt say who they were made by or anything. I am excited now and am going to try and snap up my own pair, I love those colours and have been wanting a patterned pair of ski pants because they look much more fun. I have a blue jacket so hopefully it wont clash to badly.

Oh yeah any advice on sizing? I am 5'1" and my waist measures 28", I noticed comments about fitting on the bigger size on the backcountry website and am wondering what your take is on this.

Xymenah - Hey, I'm glad you saw this post and that it can help you! Backcountry.com has a size chart for Oakley to use, but the best thing you can do is use their online gear expert and chat with them about sizing. I've done that for several things; in fact, I just did it today for an Oakley jacket I wasn't sure about. You get fast answers and it's way more convenient than communicating via email or phone.

I'm 5'10" and 160-65 lb. I ordered the large. I'm hoping they work; I haven't received them work. But they should.
