The shell can be cinched up like shown in the photo so that's a thought.... The color is so different and I am kind of smitten with that aspect.

Wondering what people think about this anorak from Nobody's Princess. It's a new offering. The adjustability features for a shell-type jacket are intriguing. I love the NP pants.

Not a bib fan. Actually tried one on this season and confirmed that I have no interest.
I agree with the comments from @VickiK and @santacruz skier . Too many zippers and I’m not a fan of either colorway.

I'm a big fan of nobodys princess stuff, I have bib pants and regular jacket, just really like the fit of both for my larger behind. Not sure I like the new colours though and I prefer a jacket to anorak, but I do love all the adjustments.

It is an interesting idea. I like options. That said, the NP brand isn't suited to my shape. There are a few other brands that fit me much better (e.g., Stio, Marmot, Mammut, North Face).
I have a prototype of the jacket, and love it. I am having a shoulder issue right now, so getting it on/off right now would be a challenge. But that is the case with all jackets of this style. I used both sets of zips (hip and bust) when I used it in the Spring. The bust zips were welcome, and needed, for sure!
I think the idea with the bust zips is that they tie in with the overall goal of adjustability, so that more women can find ski/snowboard gear that fits them. If other brands fit well, that’s great. But for some of us, trying to find gear that fits properly is not always possible, and often frustrating.
I generally have to get a larger jacket for one area of the body, and then have a ton of extra fabric in another. My front zip hard shell has a lot of extra fabric in the back. If I don’t wear my hydration backpack, a lot of wind can get into the jacket when I am skiing at speed. So this design addresses that type of issue.
And the bottom section of the anorak not only changes color/design, but also provides three options for length—no panel (crop), upper zipper (shorter), lower zipper (longer), which can provide options for women of different heights/preferences.
I think anything that allows more people of more shapes and sizes more options is a win for women who ski. And these particular color ways are based on original artwork by an artist who is a woman skier, which I think is so cool!

That's very fair!! I think their niche is the people that can't find a good fit in existing brands - so it makes sense that if you have a good fit from them, you might not be a good fit in NP. I am an easy enough fit that I have only ever had one pair of snow pants not work out for me after online purchase, so I own their snow hoodie instead of pants and I know I am decidedly NOT their target market.
I actually just got one of NP’s Anna jackets, and the fit is unlike anything I have ever experienced. I usually wear a size 10/12 in regular clothes, but my current hard shell is an XL. The larger size was needed for my hips. However, the Anna is my regular size 10 and has adjustments for the fit in the bust, hip, and waist (like the anorak). I have never had a ski jacket fit like this, which is amazing. It is also beautifully made and super stretchy and comfortable.
It is insulated, and I have always shunned insulated jackets. But I have to say, even though I won’t be able to wear it to ski in So Cal, I will enjoy it in colder places for sure. I guess I am a jacket slut now, as I currently own three ski jackets, after having had the same single ski jacket for 20 + years!

It is insulated, and I have always shunned insulated jackets. But I have to say, even though I won’t be able to wear it to ski in So Cal, I will enjoy it in colder places for sure. I guess I am a jacket slut now, as I currently own three ski jackets, after having had the same single ski jacket for 20 + years!

Nobody's Princess is having a clearance sale, jackets and pants. Getting towards the end of the Southern Hemisphere season as N. America starts getting into pre-season.
