I'm in CO Springs - Aspen/Snowmass got 14" of fresh. Get me outta here!!

Leaving CO Springs around 4-5PM tonight - my trek back home should be crappy, but I wanna get Day 1 in tomorrow!!!

Ugh! Just be happy you're getting snow! We're getting something kinda like it over here in UT ..... more rain like than anything tho. Drive safe tonight and have a great Day 1 tomorrow! :ski2:

Drive safe, the roads are definitely crappy! I left Copper early to make it back over the pass to Vail.

We had the same problem in the opposite direction. Wanted to get to Vail today with the new snow and new terrain, but didn't want to risk getting stuck on the wrong side of Vail Pass from our condo at Keystone. Skied Keystone, no new runs but the surface was much improved. It got very windy, leading to the closing of the gondola, leading to a huge line at the Summit Express, leading to my quitting for a while. Since it's still snowing I hope to make it out in about an hour for night skiing. :snow:

Yeah, we are here at Copper, which is reporting 24" in the last 48 hours (16" this morning, and it has snowed all day, so definitely pushing 30" if not more) -- but only one lift was open due to high winds. Frustrating!!

We skied this morning, and battened down the hatches this afternoon and evening, watching football and drinking wine. We'll go back early tomorrow morning.

Glad to hear I didn't miss much if they shut down all but one lift. The Chapel lot looked nearly empty when I went by around 11:30. It only took me 90 minutes from Eagle-Vail to Copper. Another 4 hours from Copper to home. :(

Ohhhhh, sorry. It took my parents 4 hr from Breck yesterday. They arrived home to a broken refrigerator icemaker and a flooded house! I felt so bad for them.

Oh, man, that's horrible! If you were on Facebook you'd see the pretty funny status updates I was posting from my iPhone as I went along. Thank goodness I had that or I might have lost my sanity. :D

Blech. H and a friend went to Keystone this morning, but left pretty early, I think 11 or 11:30ish. Took them 3 hours to get home, not counting the stop in Idaho Springs at BeauJo's. Much as I hate to say it, I'm glad I couldn't go skiing today...I had a nice morning with DS at Little Monkey Bizness instead.

Am I the only one jealous of this conversation? Here in Jersey it's holding steady at 50 degress :(

Here's what I stared at for most of the 5.5 hours yesterday. Notice that I'm giving far more space than most.
