I am beyond excited.

I had my first ski day today since demolishing my right leg 16+ months ago.

I demoed Volkl Blaze 86 W skis in a 152 - slightly shorter and narrower than I was skiing prior to my accident. I took a 1 hour private lesson with a wonderful Level 3 instructor. It was a perfect reintroduction to my favorite sport.

I went from a wide snowplow to some shaky parallel turns in 4 runs. No weakness no pain.

And unbelievably I have already recaptured the joy of skiing.

I am crying tears of joy.
