I've been out of town, and returned to find that I was the lucky winner of the "guess when the last snow will melt" contest at Wachusett mountain.
The guess? June 3rd. The prize? A season's pass!
It almost made up for coming home to a blocked toilet....

I think it helped that my husband and I were hiking the mountain about 2 weeks before they announced the contest. I could see there was still tons of snow and it was pretty packed down by the groomers, so I thought it would hang in until early June.

It might also have something to do with being Canadian, where the snow always hangs around till June, eh?
