I think I may have already posted this but if not....
While at Blister Summit, I was in a group with Marcus Caston and he asked if I mind if he give me a tip.
Me: Of course!!
He watched me try to do what he said to do and after a run he asked: Do you have a lower back or hip issue?
Me: Yes
Him: Is it your right footer becaues it looks like you can't pressure the ski as much on your right footer?
Me: Yup!
Also, when we got back home and I was skiing with my ski instructor at Mt Rose I was talking to him about CARV and how much the app reinforces the things I'm working on with him.
He immediately noticed an improvement in my carving and also a more dynamic skiing style in more of the varied terrain.
*Going to the Ortho today to see if my hip is fixable.

if u plan to ski around utah next season please let me know - i have some demo units (im a local carv ambassador here in utah so they gave me some units to let other women try and sometime we organize women ski days at some of the resorts here...i also have a bigger discount if anyone wants to use it...
This is really cool.
When I was talking to the CARV guys last winter they said they are working on more female demographics.
I do have CARV and will reach out to you when I'm in Utah.

YES!!! let me know when you are here - we are a group of women and we ski alot together (ranging from IQ 110 - 173 lol) its so much fun to ski with carv ladies compared to men...so... funny story is actually i met carv ppl in deer valley 2021/22 i think in a regular meetup when me and the 173 girl were the only women which was a bummer and over lunch we started to talk about why women are not early adapters - it was this meeting that made them send me some demo units and since we did a couple of fun (free of course) demo days for women only and it was a blast
@OrDreamer I don't mind skiing with dudes but it will be cool to ski with other women too.
When I skied with Marcus and his wife at CB last March that was so much fun.
We talked about the need to get more female video. I'd love to do that more.

marcus is the nicest dude ever...he came to film us at deer valley for a video they released end of last season...he is super nice. when in sep? i have visitors arriving 18-oct 13 so ill prob be with them but if its before the 18 we can try and set something (i dont golf though ....)
I am going to have one demo unit and I am based up in Jackson Hole if anybody wants to try out the system. I just don't yet know how the program is supposed to work demo wise as I have not gotten mine yet. If I can lend them out for the day I'll be happy to. I rarely get time to go free ski for fun, but would love to do a video trade with anyone who's interested.
What a great offer. I will be in Deer Valley Feb 8-13, though one of those days we are going to Alta. I would be interested in trying out a demo unit, if that time could work. Though I have heard great things about Carv, I have not wanted to buy it as I thought it would be annoying and distracting to use while skiing. But I would be up for trying it for part of day, and seeing if it could work for me. Not sure what my IQ will be though!
I’m curious if they were able to get a bunch more female video to add into their learning model last year. I haven’t heard anything about that, but they have certainly been doing a lot of work on all of the coming changes for how things will be scored for different turn types within a run etc. Very exciting, hopefully it works better at detecting everything versus last year.
I'll be in Utah Sept 20-26 for the Charity golf outing and class announcement for the Ski Hall of Fame, but may stay a few days longer if we can line up some work stuff.

I think they still work on specific women skiing characteristics
I know they would love more women videos (through the app which connect the video with the turn stats) we are actually thinking about organizing a carv video women day with existing users to focus on videos - not sure yet when

Hopefully I’ll head up to jh this season finally.
Once u get the demo unit let me know if u need help - it work just like your unit and u suppose to have a code that will activate it for a day (or longer depends on the code) per user (so it’s not something a friend can use the entire season but it is also not limited to one friend and u can have unlimited number of ppl try it as long as its diff ppl.
Good to know. I haven’t been able to go the last couple of years due to traveling conflicts. Hopefully I’ll be able to attend this year.

Apologies if this has already been asked, but is there a CARV footbed? It doesn't look like it on the site, but I could swear I saw something somewhere online w/an integrated footbed with sensors. Am I nuts?
