I Purchased CARV

So, what about boot heater batteries and the Carv module? Everything fit somehow?
I think it depends on your strap situation. For me, there is no way I could fit both with my current setup. Though I am planning to try heated socks versus Hotronics in this boot, so I will not have that need. For someone who doesn’t snake their strap under the shell like I do, I think it should be much more doable though.

It's fun to geek out on that data, isn't it?!

I forgot to start mine today. It didn't snow nearly as much as forecast but tomorrow will be a different story. I'll try to do better tomorrow and not forget!
I know you use Strava as well as CARV.
I got into the habit of recording my ski days last year but have slipped this year (Strava) but today I logged my day on Strava and found the battery drains a bit faster. Do you find CARV impacting your battery life?

I mount my boot heater batteries on the inside of my leg. so if I used a CARV it would go on the front of my strap, not in the way at all.

I have that set up and somehow I can fit both on the outside with Booster straps under the shell. What’s really annoying is having a zipfit with the Therm-ic heater!

I’m surprised at how good Carv is with battery usage. I haven’t skied a full day yet but with half days, I have plenty of battery to spare. I suppose it would also depend on the phone you have.

I haven't been using Strava on my phone, and I don't think CARV is draining my phone battery very much but haven't paid too much attention. I also haven't skied more than a couple hours per day since we have sh!t snow right now but should be out most of the day today, so I'll pay more attention to that.

I haven’t noticed any drain on my phone’s battery with Carv, and I have used it for 4-5 hours each time. I don’t use Strava so can’t compare there though.

Nice shell and pants.... Stio?
Yep! My green apple outfit.
Sometimes it is a bit glitchy to upload a completed session - turning wifi on and off and back on again and then reopening the app generally fixes it.
Nothing is working. I have it set to download over wifi or cellular. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, put my sensors to sleep, nothing works. I now realize that I did in fact record yesterday but it didn't download. I have tried manual syncing and it won't work, either.

I've been thinking about purchasing the Carv 2 A LOT recently. I was always intrigued by the general concept but didn't want to put stuff in my boots. Now that this version just clips onto the boot I am more intrigued. Seems it would be fun to use especially on days I am skiing solo.
I saw that too.

Well, I should say, my husband purchased CARV for the both of us this season. I am looking forward to testing it out. I think he senses my lack of enthusiasm for skiing this season and is trying to get me a little more excited. I am thinking that if it does anything, it will keep my brain busy focusing on what the app is telling me and not external stimuli which really mess with my overall skiing.

Anyone else use it, or plan to buy it? I will give updates as I begin using it this season.
I have been using CARV since it came out and got the CARV 2 this year! I was enjoying it until I got injured. I like the data and real time feedback.

Today was so much fun… I found myself lapping a lift with no line whatsoever and a perfectly groomed soft green run with no one on it either. Have a new best score achieved with significant improvements in all of my metrics with lots of actual carving. It definitely helps to have an empty run to work on!

I have my boot heaters batteries and Carv senors on my boots. My Carv sensors were placed more towards the front of my boot. Everything fit just fine.

I have the same set-up, and had no real issues. However it does require a wider pant leg!!!

Carv recently responded to a post on its Facebook group about SkiIQ. For the record, I wasn't the poster and I don't work for Carv, but found it interesting:
