I have no Ski Gear?

I added the Facebook application Ski and Snowboard.
After having my level confirmed by several Facebook friends, I got a notice that I "have no ski gear"
Have you ever heard anything so ludicrous?
I suddenly felt inadequate :(

I looked at the budget for gear, and the prices of the gear they had, and I could only afford to buy one thing.:faint:

After a second of deliberation I bought Ski Boots!!!
The theory, of course is that I can always demo, if I have proper boots.

Just thought it was funny that I, of all people, didn't have any Ski Gear!!:ROTF:

Remember MSL - we're talking Facebook. Not real life!

Wait till someone tries to "buy you". Then you'll see how much you're worth! :ROTF:

OMG Tricia! When I saw the title of this post I thought the very same thing . . . SnowHot with no ski gear! You gotta be kidding me. I heard that your quiver recently expanded into a double-car garage! Just kidding.

By the way, I like facebook and have never had any problems, and in fact, I am part of the SkiDiva group over there as well.

I think I just need an education about it....I am at the infantile stage of knowing about Facebook. :noidea:

You know about the garage! Its sort of for the quiver of Dirt Bikes.:faint:

My quiver is at an oxymoron stage. I've thinned it and yet its fatter:laugh:

I'm with Lola on this.
Facebook, was started as a school group for college and high school kids and is considerably safer than other such sites like MySpace.
On facebook, your information and personal albums can only be accessed by your "friends group" which is something you control.

I've no problem in theory with facebook, but I just don't want to deal with people I tolerate only because I have to (a former co-worker comes to mind -- she was horrible at picking up social cues and thought we were closer than we were) trying to become my friend, and then being put in the awkward position of having to add them when I don't really want to.

But, yeah, Snowhot with no gear is pretty funny!

Funny, I'm in the same boat! I about died laughing when it told me I had no gear. :laughter: :ROTF: :laughter:

Did you notice.....that crap's expensive!!!

I like Facbook because it's much less sexually driven than MySpace (or at least that's my experience with it).

I think that application is great, going to ad it to mine!

At their prices, the paper route wouldn't be enough. I'd have to get a second full-time job! (Hasn't Facebook ever heard of E-Bay or SAC??? )

I think you can "ignore" friend requests OR at least put them into a Limited Access group if ignoring them sends them a message about being ignored. I have all different groups so that I can control who sees what.

I bought a helmet as my first gear. What can I say, I fall on my head a lot ;-)

there is a ski diva facebook group? How come I have never seen it? This ski and snowboard application sounds intriguing I might take a look at it. But having no gear sounds rediculus.
