Hybrid, EV, or PHEV for a ski car?

Question for all the small SUV drivers out there: any of you have a newer Audi Q3?

If so, do you have the bigger (228HP) ICE engine package?

I'd love to pick your brain about it.

I was days away from buying a Q3. Test drove it 3 times. I was looking at and test drove the Q3 45 S line which is the bigger engine.

I wound up with a VW Tiguan SEL R line as I was after the ventilated seats. The $10k cheaper price also lured me in.

Have had Notorious T.I.G for 8 months now and am in love.

Really want an EV but we're a bit off from that as we've nowhere to charge it when in VT

Since this thread was mentioned in another thread recently . . .

I'm continuing to enjoy my 2022 RAV4 Prime XSE Plug-in Hybrid. Recently got new tires after getting 50,000 miles out of the stock tires. Will be driving it to Colorado again in December.

My daughter's 2021 RAV4 Prime SE is going strong with over 60K miles. Her commute is about 30 miles round trip so she's been using very little gas in the last two years.

Late to the party here. We just ordered a Porsche Macan AWD. I'm a little uncomfortable with the price but we can afford it so hub is why not? We wanted AWD, compact SUV all-EV (no hybrid) and nicely equipped so we had narrowed it down to Hyundai Ionic and the Porsche. I didn't realize until later than the Honda Prologue EV has a AWD option... but after driving the Porsche everything else is off the table. We wanted a compact SUV as we already have a 4 Runner that we are keeping for towing. Our local ski area where we have season passes and Nordic ski is only 35 miles from the house. Tesla was not even a consideration, and the Subaru new EV has terrible reviews (drives like a dog but if you must have a Subaru....kind of thing). We have been waiting and waiting to replace our little car (2008 Mazda 3) for safety features and EV options. With potential upcoming tariffs, we decided not to wait any longer.

@geargrrl let us know how it works out. I know absolutely nothing about that or any Porsche, really. I just looked and there are some neat color choices. Lilac! Which one did you get?

I didn't know much and it IS a lot of $$$$.... my last car was $22500 in 2008!! They have an excellent quality and customer service rating, range is 280-300 ish.

I'm in love with the VW ID4. I also like the audi EV. I do like the idea better of a hybrid mainly because we don't have anywhere to charge it at our condo in VT.

Can't respond to your EV Macan query, but a friend recently purchased the non-Ev version and it seems very rough-road worthy in NZ (which is saying something here, given the state of our ski field roads). He likes it.

We have a 4wd long range Polestar (fully EV), which I love. It's not necessarily a plush ride, but maybe I'd describe it as a driver's car in that driving it seems like an active pursuit, when the going gets a bit rough, which is definitely the case on some of our roads. Steering and braking feels very planted/intuitive. Acceleration is amazing. We've had it for over a year, and almost fight over who gets to drive it. Replacement tyre cost is quite shocking though.
