Three Feet Of Powder Falls At Summit In Past 72 Hours Over 21 Feet of Champagne Powder Stacks Up At Ski Area This Season
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO - February 26, 2007 - Steamboat’s 2006/2007 season cumulative snowfall surpassed the 250-inch mark at mid-mountain due to a series of storms that has dropped three feet of fresh Champagne Powder snow over the past three days.
“Steamboat has some of the best snow in the Rocky Mountains, the largest mid-mountain base of the major Colorado destination resorts, and a summit base that’s approaching 85 inches,” said Andy Wirth, vice president of sales & marketing for Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation. “Steamboat is definitely showing why it is the home of Champagne Powder and will be in great shape as the resort gears up for the upcoming Spring Break period.”
