I can’t seem to find anything. For 2 years I tried to post pictures and it would not let me post group pictures of the divas!

I tried to post pictures from my Canon and even edited them and the site still gave me grief and finally gave up. Guess I can only post from my phone.

Where in the heck is the pizza party at Taos posted. It’s at my condo and I can’t find the thread!

I don't see details for the pizza get together in the Taos meetup thread but you can probably PM @marzNC or @TNtoTaos to get the details.

You'll be able to access all the Meet on the Hill threads once you have 15 posts. You're at 9, so almost there!

Barb aka denverokie is driving so I will help her post 5 more times so she can then see the thread. I’ve been filling her in, and when I arrived at her house last night let her read from my account.

Over 10 years ago I looked for a women’s ski forum and group. And found the ski diva…

I had already been a part of a women’s snowboarding IRL group and online forum to arrange outings for 10 years prior. When I returned to skiing I knew I would need the same to figure out this skiing part out…

both snow sports are so male dominated, and guy friends at the time were into speed. But I just care about fun and skill-building. It was really hard I went to the hill every weekend and I’d go by myself for a long time when snowboarding bc I didn’t have anyone I wanted to ride with. When I found a women’s group it made a huge difference in my up-skilling. It proved to be great for that and also making local friends when moving to VT from NY.

While in NY, Joined a community of parents of ski racers at our hill, began instructing —and when moving to VT did that as well. I’ve gotten to meet some awesome people through skiing and riding. I’ll always prefer to ski and ride with women. It’s less harrowing and way more fun based. Shredding with guys, a few of them have come too close for comfort, almost mowing me down in the process. Most do not but it happens…This goes for snowboards in the park, and on skis. No thanks!

I relate to this so much! It is less about proving yourself and more about just skiing and having fun together. I once had an instructor tell me that they prefer to teach women instead of men because they actually listen instead of trying to show off and be the "best" in the group. This instructor was a guy saying this! :rotf:

I'm new but have gotten obsessed with skiing over the last few years. Almost everything I searched for skiing-related resulted in some super useful tips from some Divas. I thought that this year, I should try to participate a bit!
Welcome!

What is it about skiing that makes us obsessed? I found the ski diva searching the web when my son was young and I was getting back into it. I needed advise about skis to buy, cheap tickets and advise for sking with kids and the best family mountains.
