Same here. I googled ski reviews for the auras and found this site. I spent so much time reading that I started to want to join the conversations. I am new to the site but don't see myself forgetting it any time soon.

My ski-crazy hubby does all my "homework" for me where skiing and skis are concerned -- so he found Ski Diva via Google, and decided that I needed to get on here too! In fact, he signed me up FIRST before telling me, haha!!

Luckily for him, I love him (so I won't whack him on the head for signing me up without letting me know, and secondly, I do love skiing... and thirdly, this site rocks

Stumbled upon the forum when I was looking for a new ski jacket. I was having a helluvatime finding a jacket that would fit my short n' round self, and a Google search for "ski jacket petite" brought me here.

The Divas steered me in the right direction, and in no time at all I had a new jacket (Obermeyer, for anyone who's wondering who makes petites sizing) and in short order they'd also inspired me to buy new ski pants, base layers, gloves, skis, boots and eventually a helmet.

This forum ought to come with a warning: May be hazardous to your bank account.

Sooo true :laughter: pre site I might have dilly-dallied for months before making a purchase but now with justification from so many supportive Divas ... voila - little procrastination and hello new ski stuff!!!

My hubbie found this site researching skis for me. He is the one that signed me up as well. He is the detail oriented researcher and uses online forums alot.

This looks like a great place to hang out and learn lots from you girls.

Thanks Kaidee for resurrecting this thread! I've never seen it before. Yup ... much the same: googled a question, found my answer, lurked briefly, then joined the conversation. Thanks Wendy, it's a great site!
