It's Milwaukeean, num, but we forgive you :D
Heck, if it constitutes a ski day for YOU, it counts. IMO, night skiing offers up some of the most intense up and down skiing -- hit the lift, hit it again. Just for laughs, keep track and add up the vert sometime. Adds up.
If I'm feeling like it, I sometimes do the same here in keeping track of vertical, because I can get more skiing in on a weekday morning than on any weekend day mid-season, due to no lift lines. I can do more vertical in 4 hours mid-week than what I could get in bell to bell on a weekend.
Num, one year at Devils Head, DH did Saturday day AND evening shift as instructor!
(I think his first year there.) That meant we were there from 8 a.m. until about 7 p.m., IF he didn't have evening lesson (and often did, so 9:30 p.m. to depart). It was intense. We did it to save on the gas (we were ultra poor) of going twice to fulfill one weekend day/one night weekly commitment to ski school.
Back at the ranch in Maine, I just did day 36 yesterday, just a 4 hour ski day (passholder bbq afterward, food!), but the runs were ALL bumps, as nothing had been groomed (due to warm temps). Takes longer to ski a run that's all bumped up than a groomed one, so not as many runs but WAYYYY more exertion!!
