How are the bike trails at Snowbasin?

I am starting to get excited about bike season!!

I am especially interested in trying out some of the trails at Snowbasin this summer. Is it worth the trip down there? It is about a 1.5 hour drive.

There are some really nice trails up here, but I think it would be fun to try something different this summer.

We have some friends that go there a lot, and we tried it once but it ended up being a mosquito-fest. It's weird - it's probably the only place in Utah I've ever been eaten alive by mosquitos and horseflies, and it was bad enough you could barely keep your hands on the bike - we were all just swatting like crazy.

So unfortunately, that's the main thing I remember about riding there. And the locals swear it's not normally like that at all. Weird. The trails are pretty good, but for me - it's too long of a drive considering the other better trails that are closer to me. I've also heard there are really good trails at Powder Mountain, but I've never been there in summer.

I would love to try some more of the trails closer to SLC too. Depends on how much we feel like driving this summer. Too many things that I want to do that we did not get a chance to do last fall.

Snowbasin looks good to me, because they seem to have a good variety of trails (based on their trail map I picked up today)

Do you know the approximate length of the individual trails?

I can't even remember which trails we rode... I think we probably rode 12 miles or so - it was an after-work ride. And there are a lot more trails out there.
