Hot Gear Bag

I received a Hot Gear Bag as a gift. I was reading through the directions today and it says that it may discolor light colored boots. :( So now, I'm a bit leary of using it with my boots.

Does anyone have any experience with using this bag with lighter colored boots? I'm tempted to take a chance....

I have been looking at those bags.
Bud and Cgeib had them at Keystone, and both seem to like them.
Have you emailed the company to see what the situation is about discolouring?

Yipee! I just got an email from Ivan Petkov, the distributor of Hot Gear Bags. He indicated that they have not had any problems with Lange boots of any color.

Well that doesn't help me, the dalbello owner.
:faint:

I sent bud a pm. Since he sells them and has nothing better to do than cater to my every whim, I'll let him do the research! :D

My son has one of these bags, and loves it. Like you, SnowHot, I have Dalbello Krypton Storms. Would the heated bag be a problem for the heat moldable liners?

Nope.
Bud and cgeib use the hot gear bags and neither of them have problems with their heat moldable liners.
I specifically asked Bud about the intuition liners, since he's a boot specialist, and he said it would be no problem.

FYI, if you're interested in buying a Hot Gear Bag, Bud has a store that carries them.

I think I'm getting one from him at the end of the season.

Wow, never seen that before! Those bags are cool! NannyMin, you are one lucky gal to get gifted with one. Glad to hear your boots are going to be safe. Let us know how you like using it. Hope SnowHot hears the same good news from the rep regarding the Dalbellos.

Although I don't "need" one this year, that would definitely be on my "wish list" for an end of season pick up or maybe a purchase next year...will be awaiting your review NM!

this bag sounds really good

Warning, warning: reading ski gear/gear review threads can be hazardous to your credit card statement!

Yet another item that looks too good NOT to have, especially for those of us living in notoriously cold places...

Current offer of 2 for 199 is incredibly good deal.

Review requested when tested!
In the meantime, I have bookmarked the site (a growing list).

I got the hot gear bag for Christmas ans saw the same warning so I emailed Ivan. I have white Head Dream Thang 10 boots. I have been using the "dry" setting and have had no discoloration. I use "snap dry" boot heaters to dry my boots instead of drying with the hot gear bag.

It is pretty great to be able to put on warm boots, socks, mittens and neck gaiters before hitting the slopes.

Ivan sent me one of the Hot Gear Bags to review, and it's pretty cool. You can check them out at their web site.

How can you not love a product developed by a former member of the Bulgarian Ski Team????

Num~ If you can't find anyone to go in with you on the deal, I believe Bud was offering them 40% off. You may want to PM to find out.
