Horseback riding advice needed

Wow, that trip looks fantastic, I can't wait to hear your reviews and see some pics! You're going to have a great time!

As for the riding part, I hadn't ridden in a couple months, then went and sat on some jumper horses here in Aus (3 horses back to back) and by the next day I could hardly move.... so I'd definitely recommend trying to ride a couple times before you go, just to get back in the swing of things.

Have fun shopping for riding clothes too! Definitely one of my favorite activities

Christy, when do you leave for Spain? Do you have your carry-on luggage or are you going to check it all?

The ride is Oct 9-16 though I'm going a couple days early and staying later to sightsee in Granada. I normally do travel to Europe with just a carry on but with a helmet, paddock boots, half chaps, breeches and plus regular clothes I think I might have to check a regular sized suitcase.

by the next day I could hardly move....
I've been surprised that when I occasionally do ride a friend's horse, I'm okay the next day. But I'm not riding her horse 6 hours a day, every day. I'll bring ibuprofen. Lots of ibuprofen. And I am going to try to get some riding in before I go.

Hello,
How did it all go? I have 2 horses but they are in retirement. I have done a few riding holidays - long hours in the saddle, i'm normally ok after day 3. Hope you had a really good time.
