I've always wanted to ski there. Hope it opens the next season.

Haven't skied Homewood in several years - it's a fun small mountain and feels like you're skiing into the lake - it's that close!

I wouldn't feel sorry for them. Full disclosure I haven't followed all the machinations closely but it seems like they are mad about people pushing back on their privatization plan. Pretty sure the West Shore cafe is owned by the same people and the guy has just been spitefully "closed for renovations" since the "Keep homewood public" campaign took off.

I read this news today and was glad that I skied there in 2023. That said, their infrastructure could use some upgrading/modernization. It really does need some money put into the place. Hopefully the plan and the funding can come together for a future season.

Our family has skied Homewood many times. It was one of my favorite places, easy to get discount tickets (great for a family with kids), and the intermediate skiing (and stellar VIEWS!!!) was some of the best fun we've had on the snow. I chock that up to the homey low tech family feel of it.; Reminded me of the smaller mountains in the Northeast where I grew up. Anyone ever ski Cannon in NH in the 70s? or Gore (NY)?

So sad to see such a classic place like Homewood not opening. Hope they can make it work and re-open in future years.
