Hi, I'm a big girl now.

Sure, it was the groomed Super G (Golden Eagle).

I know, it was groomed :D but, hey... it's a great feeling! In my defense, I did 4 other blacks, 2 super moguly things. I think one was called Loco in Larkspur bowl. The others I don't remember because we didn't even stop for lunch. It was the best day of my life. :ski2:

That's so cool! Congrats!:yahoo:

I skiied my first ever double black at Beaver in January. I did Bald Eagle on Grouse Mountain and I think the only reason I survived was because there was 9 inches of powder on top of the bumps! :D

I really like those blacks in Larkspur bowl. Loco is one of my favorites! And to think this time last year, I thought I would never ski a non-groomed black, let alone a double...

Yay!!!!

Those are fun runs when they groom them. Zippy and fast! And good on you for the bumps-- the Beav can have some big ones!

Thank you guys... I tried telling a couple of my co-workers and they just don't understand. It's so nice to be able to tell a group like you gals and for you to "get it!" Thanks for having this message board, what a great place to be!

Loco was a great run... and Beaver Creek is a great resort! And to the person that said "not attempting something without a bunch of new snow on top" - that is the whole reason I did attempt these trails, Eagle county got pounded last weekend. And yes, I fell a few times but it doesn't hurt so much in stuff that deep! I'm not sure I would've been as brave without all that white stuff to slow me down and catch me!

Way to go!

Yesterday (Day 19), I did parts of Ovation, Outer Limits and the bottom steep area of Superstar at Killington (Vermont, baby)!!:yahoo:

I *love* skiing bumps with lots of powder on 'em. I don't have to worry so much about my technique!

I actually think the funniest part of my double black run down Grouse was at the very bottom. I had fallen not too far from the end of the run and wasn't able to pick up much speed the rest of the way. I hit the bottom and knee-high powder that stopped me dead in my tracks for a complete face-plant. I had snow EVERYWHERE. Too funny that I make it down a double, and immediately face plant into the soft stuff!
