Hey New York Divas...

Hi, I was wondering if there were many New York Divas out there. What is your favorite mountain?

I am connected to just about every part of the state, except Long Island. But... I meet someone from Long Island just about each time I ride the lift. So I think that counts as a connection.

I mostly ski the Catskills (Windham) and the Adriondacks (Gore and Whiteface). Occasional trips to Jiminy Peak (Bershires).

Thanks for posting...:becky:

I mostly ski CO, UT and Tahoe.
There's more value for the money out there than in NY, VT, NH, ME, CT, MA...

Hi HC, no wonder you like Hunter! Have you been to Jiminy since they opened their new lodge- (huge improvement)? Heard about their wind power project? Pretty cool...

Ski Chick, I have not been to Jiminy since they were under construction even though it was the closest mountain to me(Brunswick, NY). A friend of mine tells me they just did a timeshare there and love it, I heard they were very nice. You're right, I do have a soft spot for Hunter. I guess it's because that's where I learned to ski, and I've made some good friends there.

googling...Jiminy Peak wind power project now:yahoo:

I'm a native Brooklynite, now living in upstate, NY. I ski everywhere I can get, including out West, but locally, I love Okemo, Mt. Snow, and Pico. I can deal with Windham, but only on a Sunday.

I used to ski Whiteface frequently. But things seems to have changed. At least the traffic up the Throughway has gone much heavier. So I change direction and start going up I-91 more...

One area I haven't skied much but would like to try is the Catskill area. It's actually not that easy to get to from the lower Hudson. But maybe this year...

Ok....I'd love NOTHING more than to be considered a NY Diva! OMG!!! How fabulous is that! Fortunately, I'm a Colorado Native Diva!!!! I'm Proud! BUT....

NY Diva sounds AWESOME!!!:becky:

If I make it to the "city" before I see you out in Breckenridge I will pick you up something that has NY on it and when you wear it you can be a NY Diva.
