Hey football Divas!

Loved the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article about the nun. Okay, face it: only a down-home team like the Packers would do something like this. Smallest stadium, in the smallest NFL city of them all. Talk about HEART.

Of course, this is coming from someone who lived in WI for 26 years and watched Brett from The Day One arrival in GB. Now I live in New England.....what's a diva to do?????

It's gonna be a wild weekend....

My second team is GB. And Brett has so much heart, let alone talent. It won't be the same without him when he retires. He's a great role model to kids.

I liked the article about the nun, how hilarious! (Catholic School Girl here). But I liked the article about the Young girl too. I'm going to tune in to the Pats game just to watch the coin toss. YAY- a girl on an NFL field!

Brett's wife Deanna has recently written a book on her experience with breast cancer and has become a major spokesperson for bc awareness and prevention. I do not currently recall the title of the book, but I believe I heard her say when interviewed during a game that all profits were going to charity. This from a lady so painfully shy that she dislikes appearing in public.

Several years ago, Brett's mentor dad died, rather young, and Brett had to play a game before the funeral, even. He played with heart, won, openly wept. And then there are all the NFL records he smashed this season. Have watched him since the day he first walked onto Lambeau Field. What a career...

Deanna was on a Monday Night Football- Green Bay game this season early on. She sat in the announcers booth with them for a while and they interviewed her about the book. What I thought was so cute is that the announcers were terribly sweet to her and kind. She did look a little uncomfortable (I would with those big headphones on) but was very poised and spoke about her survival. I bought the book for a friend who is also a survivor and plan to buy the book for another who was recently diagnosed :( .

I also watched the game after his father's passing. No one could believe he played and didn't expect much. He was amazing. Hall-of-famer without a doubt. And he's so humble!

OK, but still... go G men!:cheer:

Okay, Ski Chick, your team won fair and square. Good game! But BRRRR -4, -24 wind chill! On to the Super Bowl!

Good game!

It was a good game. I'm happy for Tynes that he was able to redeem himself after those two ugly kicks. I blame the Packers defeat on their Offensive Co. The plays were just uninspired. The G-men didn't exactly play brilliantly. My favorite Giants player is Bradshaw. He's so small he just finds a hole in the Defense and slips through.

Gotta love those fans, and God bless everyone of them. They have true heart. We all kept shouting "Minus four degrees!" all night. Did you see the shot of Downtown Green Bay? Loved it! Our friends were gracious losers, as we're all very civilized about it all. Everyone in the house wound up wearing the cheeseheads at one point or another, they're irresistable.:becky:

But on to... the Pats. Oh boy.

You got that right.... .... Those guys are like cyborgs, it's kinda scary. I'm not much of a fan, despite living in the home team region (which is huge for geography) - so looks like I'm now on YOUR bandwagon. Go NY Giants!
