Help Would love to purchase Dalbellos but is foot too wide?

Hello to my fellow ski divas. I am in a dilema and would apppreciate opinions here. I spent about 1 1/2 hours yesterday in my local, reputable ski shop with 3 boot fitters because the store was dead trying Dalbellos Lotus and Nordica Olympia Speedmachine 8's. I am an expert skiier who likes short, quick turns and love moguls. Speed happens and I usually handle it well. I did a lot of research on boots and boot fitting. I walked into the store and the fitters were impressed by my questions and my research so they knew I knew what to look for and that I was serious. They did a measurement, shell only fit with toes forward, heels back outside, heels back inside. Right off, they said they felt my feet were normal to wide and might not feel good in the Dalbellos but if I really liked them they could make room. I wound up most comfortable in the Nordicas with heel lifts but they also put heel lifts in the Dalbello Lotuses too.
Unfortunately, they did not have the Dalbello Kyrzmas which I also wanted to try. Are the Kyrzmas as narrow as the Lotus? I am having buyers remorse about the Nordicas. Any thoughts?

The Dalbello Krypton Line is narrower in the forefoot than the other lines. Though not so narrow in the heel. The Krypton line includes the lotus, storm and Kryzma.

If your foot is average, you may like the Krypton line if you have the forefoot area blown out.

If the nordica fit your foot then that is the boot for you.
I wish I could tell you to get the krypton because I love mine, but a boot fit is a boot fit. Get what is right for you!!

I agree, buying a boot that doesn't fit great over one that does is just silly (and bordering on stupid). Why do you want Dalbellos? I wanted a boot that would look good with my brown/orange/red ski but ended up with white/blue boots because that's what fits right. I'd do the same thing again in a second.

I have the Dalbello Krypton Storms and love them. I have an average width foot with an extremely high arch and they fit me perfectly. Any other boots I've tried won't even buckle over my instep if they're the right length, so, until now, I've either had boots that make my feet numb, or are way too big. Anyway, get the boots that fit the best - anything else can lead to misery!

What remorse are you having? I mean what is causing it? I ski in the Olympia SM 12 and love it!! It's very quick with a nice rebound with a descent power strap. Snow Hot is right fit is everything!! A badly fitting boot no matter how cool it looks results in really sloppy skiing. I would stick with the boot that fits your foot the best.

Haha! Be honest. you already knew that of course, being an expert skier! You just needed a little push to remember you made in fact the right decision isn't it?
Your question kind of gave me flash back. Its me driving to a skishop to just see what would make me greedy enough to buy it. Had my 6 or 7-year old niece with me, on the way there I was explaining to her about skiboots and their importance. At the time I was using very nice silver grey with turqoise green skiboots, that fitted okay. In the shop they had a special offer of much more advanced boots so I tried them on. Fitted perfectly! Than I didnt like them cause they were boring black. Ended up asking my little niece what she thought would be best! Of course she gave me back my own words of 1/2 an hour before with great severity. In the end I did buy them with the idea I would swap boots every now and than. Nope, since than I have only wore the black ones. :becky:
